Patterns For Pirates – Slim Fit Raglan + Add-On

First things first – Happy Birthday to my brother Bryan! Now, onto the make of the week. I’m getting pretty good at posting weekly – don’t get too used to it because my procrastination will come back into play any week now!

This is the Slim Fit Raglan plus the Raglan Add On Pack from Patterns For Pirates. I realize I posted a P4P make last week, but I’m a sucker for their patterns.
If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile you may remember I made the Slim Fit Raglan without the Add-on back in 2016. That time I made 2 versions and I still love both. I wear the basic black one all the time still.

I made my usual measurements for P4P at Medium in the bust and graded to Large in the waist and hips. My measurements are 36-32-40.5 so this means I did size down in the waist. I love the fit. I did add 2″ to the sleeve length – which is typical for me with any pattern. Yay for monkey arms!

Look – pockets! Everything needs pockets. The Add-On pack has an option for inseam pockets or a kangaroo pocket. I also made the funnel collar with ruching. I love the extra detail this gives. I was feeling like the collar was too big at first, but you just need to play with it a little to get it how you like it. I made the banded waist version with cuffs on the sleeves.

The fabric is a cotton lycra from JoAnn fabrics. I’m a sucker for anything Stitch <3 He’s my favorite Disney character ever. If you’re wondering, I am not a stripe-matcher. Life is too short for that shit.

Overall – great patterns and I’ll be making more again soon!
