  1. Your Harley Quinn stolen nurses outfit could you give me a price to have you make it. My granddaughter loves it. She is 14 and a size 10 in clothes. She wants it for 2013 Halloween
    Thank you Debbie

  2. I am new at sewing and was wondering what type of sewing machine is best?

    1. The sewing machine I have is a simple $90 Brother machine from Walmart. I would like to upgrade one day soon. I really want a machine that does automatic buttonholes. I don’t really know enough about the machines to recommend a certain brand but I do know Singer and Brother are very affordable and popular. Hope that helps some and good luck, sewing is so much fun!

  3. OK.. I’m going to need a “Game of Thrones” dress made for a party this fall.. I have several yards of great navy blue velvet with silver stars… and think that would make a great bodice and matching cape.. but I don’t sew… I just do PR! Please contact me and give me ideas of what I’d need to turn over to you for the magical outfit!!!!

    1. Thanks for the vote of confidence! I actually don’t make anything for others, selfish yes lol. I think I eventually will one day – but for right now it’s just a couple of friends I help guide. I do wish you luck! I love the cosplay stuff!

  4. Amy-your blog is great! You are very talented and your stash looks wonderful. I loved the black sateen shorts with the Peter Pan collar…absolutely adorable…see you soon

    1. Thanks so much! You know I’ll see you again soon LOL… I need to take out stock in Jo-Ann!

  5. This new site is truly inspired! You really do look bad ass in cartoons and that is a good thing. Glad you picked up some deals. Silky prints are your friends and you do a really good job pulling it all together.

    1. Oh I got lots of deals today – thanks to you informing me of that sale! I have enough fabric to last me a lifetime HAHA!! Thank you for the compliments!

  6. The things you make are lovely. I just gad a question about Mei Tai Baby Carrier – McCalls 5678. I would love to make one like this and I just had a couple questions. How long were you able to use it? There is another site that shows how to do one for a newborn, tying the straps behind the back and such, but to use fabric other than quilting cotton. Does that cotton hols up well? I plan to make mine smaller for a newborn, but want to use quilting cotton, would that be okay?
    Thanks

    1. He liked it but only for about a week – so I haven’t used it much. He really likes the ring sling types better, because he can see out instead of looking at me. So I’m not 100% sure. The only thing that I didn’t like about that type of sling, is that it felt like he could fall out of the side. I don’t know if I’m just a paranoid Mom?! But Maybe add an extra tie? Sorry I couldn’t be of more help :/

  7. Hi, I’m Dany and I sew a lot for others. How do you decide how much to charge other people? My friends say I need to charge more. Scott Smith suggested I look at your blog and talk with you. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
